    Blue Jack - Endgame

Well, we have successfully completed Blue Jack, our Technology Workshop, and boy, what a week it has been! We have had an exciting week full of participation from very smart kids - And it has been a fantastic experience for us who were planning things behind the scenes.

After learning and understanding about various technologies such as Sensors, Microcontrollers, Wireless Technologies and Cloud Computing, the last section which we felt would be most apt was "Smart Planet" - A concept where we put all these things together and built clever systems. Now there are different ways of doing this - and all you need is a bit of knowledge and a whole lot of creativity! And who are more creative than children? Below we have Anirudh Bathija, one of our flamboyant participants who has been actively posting on Facebook. I have just consolidated all of his posts into one post to show you guys what he and his friends have come up with. After that, you can see Raoul Nath, another enterprising boy with his ideas.

    Anirudh Bathija speaks...
    Hey fellow cloudy members,
I am sorry to say there will not be any more getting up early to learn about tech stuff for the future..........
for a few weeks of course!
    So anyway..........
I will be posting the smart applications that I learned through workshop 1.........
Cya in the next few posts.............

    Smart Food..........
We learnt that food is sent to us after being sent to various places..........
It starts from the farm, goes on to storage and is finally sent to trucks that take it to the supermarkets or grocery stores from where we pick it up.........
So we can make this process faster and more convenient using some smart apps
We could put various sensors in farms such as moisture sensors to make sure we use just enough water..........
We could use technology to make our crops grow faster.......
We could also put in trackers and communication devices into trucks to make sure that they are on the right route......

    Smart Water.....
We could do things to save and recycle water........
I know this may seem like an E.V.E lesson, but it is quite fun to think of cool ideas and solutions to the water problems that people face daily.........
So we could have smart drains that have sensors in them that tell us when a drain is overflowing and send a signal to traffic lights to give a detour message to the locals.
We could have smart drains up to the point where they don't even overflow and instead give us some sort of signal to which we can act accordingly.....
We could have water level sensors to tell us when there is enough water used in farms........
    And Lots More

    Smart Buildings........
We have buildings that take over an enormous amount of power and also give out a lot of waste....
We really need to fix this......
    First of all,
We can reuse carbon dioxide in various forms.......
We can make light sensors that switch off all lights when they sense no presence.
We can also have heat sensors covering the building so that when there is no body heat in the entire building,
The main power supply shuts down........

These things help us to live in a smarter planet........
    It really helps a lot
    So,
    Go give it a shot..........
Now wasn't that fun? Anirudh loved the programme and has told us things that he came up with himself - This is what WE at Cloud Mentor were aiming at - To get THEM to apply what they learnt. After all, applied knowledge is useful and not knowledge in itself... Moving on, let's see what Anirudh's friend Raoul Nath had to say.

    Raoul Nath speaks...
    Smart App!!:
How to make sure u dont wet ur bed....
A smart pill can detect weither the bladder is close to its tipping/bursting point and an alarm can go off to wake u or ur mom up b4 the tragedy!!!!!!

    GO CLOUD MENTOR!!! :D
And he also shared the video below on our Facebook Page saying:
